Good day Sir,
Could you please explain the ‘role of strategic performance management in strategic planning and control’ (1a. p5 syllabus).
Think i am a bit confuse as i am reasoning control to be apart of the management process. Thank you.
Strategic planning implies setting long-term goals and objectives. So, you need to ensure that the plan keeps on course and that the goals and objectives are likely to be met.
Essentially, that is performance management: manage performance to achieve the organisation’s strategy. It implies finding ways of measuring factors which are important to hitting the strategic objectives and making adjustments as necessary.

Thank you very much, appreciate your help.
