I’ve got F8 & F9 left from the fundamentals, now wants peoples recommendations? I’ve had a look at the syllabus and they both seem huge so should i only sit 1?
My past record – not the best to be honest, Dec 11 was the 1st sitting i’ve passed 2 ACCA papers in 1 sitting!
February 23, 2012 at 8:04 am #94656I sat both of these papers in December using self study only (just the text hadn’t discovered Open tuition yet). I failed them both getting 48% on F8 and 46% on F9. However I would say the are both perfectly passable together, I got so close while having a 3 week old baby waking me up in the middle of the night so I’m more than confident they can be done together with a bit more energy & sleep!
F8 is more understanding and the study text is quiet small although going on the pass rates it is a difficult paper. F9 has a huge text book with lots to cover but some of it you may already have seen.
I’m actually going to sit F8, F9, P1 & P2 in June and I feel I can pass them all with some hard work but getting so close in F8, F9 I have a starting point to build on for those exams while giving some extra time to P1 & P2.
February 25, 2012 at 2:19 pm #94657Thanks jaysuey51, it really helps to know its possible. ACCA havent helped by changing the exam timetable for F8 & F9 to be a day after another, I personally prefer breaks in between my exams!
I’ve got the open tuition notes for Jun 12 and now i’m ordering kaplan’s exam kits so lets see

How?June 4, 2024 at 9:42 am #706608@nsolanki – I suggest you ask on the tutor forum https://opentuition.com/forum/ask-acca-tutor-forums/ask-the-tutor-acca-audit-and-assurance-aa-exams rather than this unrelated post
