AsifMay 24, 2019 at 6:33 am #517086Hello sir,
Thank you for your notes and Lectures! it enabled me to pass with 75%!! your lectures were a great help when i didnt understand some key points in the course.
Once again i thank you!June 10, 2019 at 9:14 am #520073Passed exam, thank you john, lectures were very good.
June 12, 2019 at 1:11 pm #520292Passed with 78%. I would like to thank Mr. John. I won’t be able to achieve this without your quality lectures. Paper was a bit tricky. Clear understanding of the topic and critical thinking was required for most of the questions.
June 30, 2019 at 6:39 pm #521586I had 43% in my MA exam for June. So am planning to read up for it again. Had issues mostly on standard costing. How can you help out@Mohammed2000 ?
July 17, 2019 at 12:04 pm #524024I failed mine yesterday with 41%. Really disappointed as I worked very hard and there was a lot of noise outside the room which didn’t help. I also found that the ratios at the end were tricky as they seemed to put distracter figures in which didn’t add up when doing the same calculations. Did anyone else find this? And were there loads more difficult maths questions in section A than usual? My confidence has been hit quite hard to be honest.
July 17, 2019 at 10:11 pm #524110Hey @audsley10 did you practice the exam kit questions? Also what topics came up?
July 18, 2019 at 7:34 pm #524222Hi there, yes I practised all questions using the BPP question and answer book which I purchased. I think I need to go over process costing as I get quite confused. All the topics came up during the exam so I would be confident in all areas! The exam for me was a disaster, the common room outside was so noisy they refunded me my fee as I couldn’t focus. Plus I ran out of time which made me panic. Practise actual tests on the acca website which you can purchase and this will definetly help. I have put in to resit ASAP. Best of luck!
July 18, 2019 at 11:38 pm #524249@audsley10 I’m surprised they refunded you the fees, was it a paper based exam? Also, could you give me a link for the actual tests on the acca website because I’ve never came across it before. Btw, were the section B questions easy/normal in difficulty and to what extent were Budgeting, Standard Costing and Performance measurement tested in Section A since these form whole parts of section B
July 18, 2019 at 11:41 pm #524250@audsley10 Do you think you would’ve passed the exam if it wasn’t for the noise, because you said you worked very hard and practiced one full exam kit
July 19, 2019 at 9:49 am #524322@ilham9089 In order to pass these exams you must have a very deep understanding of the book. I would recommend using the Kaplan text book, the revision kit AND the BPP revision kit. I also recommend the ACCA practice papers as they question some areas which will almost always come up in the test such as the high low method. Some questions in the exam were tougher than usual but manageable. Practice, practice, practice is my advice.
July 26, 2019 at 9:57 am #524953Passed with 73 percent. Thank you opentuition!
July 29, 2019 at 5:25 pm #525267I did exactly the same, failed with 40%. Found the questions were not at all similar to those in my Kaplan textbook. I have rebooked for the 23rd of August and will just use these lectures on open tuition. Hopefully they will be better than the Kaplan ones!
August 5, 2019 at 4:17 pm #526316The best thing to do is put in for it again ASAP so well done for trying again. Took mine again today and passed 63%. Keep your head up and you can do it. Learn all the variances as they always seem to come up in all the variations of the practise tests and you will be fine. Good luck!
August 8, 2019 at 6:25 pm #526727Dear John Moffat,
I just want to say thank you for your great lectures.

The service you do is excellent.
Many thanks and warm regards.

January 7, 2020 at 2:34 pm #557040Got 87% , Exam consisted of approximately 30 theoretical mcqs and rest were numeric other than that it one Investment appraisal MTQ, one from standard costing and the other was from performance measurement. My advice, learn key concepts thoroughly.
