I just need some clarity on what a point means especially when marking my own practice answers.
For example (specimen one, Q1aii):
Financial Capital
The financial data shows revenue reaching a peak in 2014, before falling away in 2015. (just stating a fact, no marks here from my interpretation)Although 2014 was a record year for revenue, increased cost of sales meant that gross profit declined significantly. the gross profit margin has declined every year in the period under consideration and the reason for this need to be investigated. (this has developed into a mark from my interpretation)
Another example (specimen one, Q1ai):
In the second market, where network management systems are supplied to mainly domestic, SME’s and a few larger companies, the buyers appear to have less bargaining power. (I believe this is one mark a bringing context to the information available)
Thanks for you help

As you identify, merely repeating information in a question will earn nothing (though might be necessary for the sake of clarity and style of part of an answer). The information has to be ‘moved forward’ in some way. Eg interpreting it or making an inference.
