Hi All,
It seems that the ACCA give out results to 3rd Party learning providers, and also contact information ie email address.
For example whenever I get my results, Learn Signal(there are others) send a email the next day congratulating/commiserating and trying to sell me their product.
Does anyone know if this is a data protection breach? I find this extremely frustrating and unethical.April 24, 2019 at 11:02 pm #514035Hi,
I receive e-mails from learn Signal purely because I opted a couple of times for their free trial. When you do that, you end up giving your e-mail address and from there on they will be sending you all these e-mails. You must have at one point registered with Learn Signal somehow. However, you can easily unsubscribe from their e-mails – the option to do this, is normally at the bottom of each and every e-mail they send.
Hope it helps.

No, this is not a data protection breach.
Here’s a link that would answer your question in a much more detail…
https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/footertoolbar/privacy/data-protection.html#Will-my-data-be-given-to-anyone-else?This makes it necessary for all of us(ACCA students/affiliates/members) to read the Data Protection Notice.
And as @ginetta86 has mentioned, you can unsubscribe from their emails.
Hope that helps.
