When I print the document which my workplace mentor should sign off I have to write his professional qualification. He is not ACCA member and any recognised accoutnitng organisation in my country, but once he work as a trainee on accounting so he has good knowldge in this area. I don’t have a training supervision. What should I fill in “professional qualification”? Please help.
December 29, 2011 at 8:25 am #92268Hi ,
you see if he is not a qualified accountant , then he can’t act as mentor. He can only be your supervisor.
To provide a false information in that document also won’t be a good thing, like to say that he is qualifed while he is not.
Let’s see maybe anyone provide u with some suggestions.
Otherwise try to contact ACCA on this subject.December 29, 2011 at 8:36 pm #92269Thank you Ansi for your replay.
Could you tell me if I received any information from acca if my PER is ok or if any PER is not passed?December 30, 2011 at 4:49 am #92270You are welcome.
alright look.
Once u submit your PER for sign off, your mentor will get notification about it. Then using his person ID number and password (that will be issued for him when u register him as mentor) he will access your submitted PER and can select : approve. Well u will see once u go through this procedure.
I usually do all this myself in presence of my mentor as she doesn’t speak english 🙂Once any of your PER is signed off, that’s it. You will see in your list of PERs that it’s achieved..period!
ACCA does monitor TDM of students, but honestly, i have never ever heard of anyone whose PER was rejected becuase it’s not passed as u say.
As long as you satisfy conditions of ACCA regarding qualification of your mentor and as long as you provide document confirming your working experience, everything will be okay.
I’m not quite sure, but u might need to have each PER signed on paper by mentor as well. They have a special form for that. It’s printed once u print out your PER. But maybe you won’t even need this, as your PERs will be already signed off electronically.well, good luck!
December 30, 2011 at 4:50 am #92271Ah, forgot to notice.
Once your mentor click on approve or sign off, you will get an automatically generated e-mail saying :
congratulations your PER …. has been signed off by your mentor.
That’s all you get.Your working experience and those PERs will be checked by ACCA only when you apply for membership.
