There are many freelancing platforms available where accountants and Finance professionals can find part-time and freelancer work worldwide. As I am based in Dubai, I got part-time work from Bawabba (https://www.bawabba.com/accounting-and-legal/accountant), a freelancing platform for freelancers in the UAE.
After getting a few part-time work opportunities, which I could easily do from home, I recently got a full-time job offer from one of the employers. It is certainly a get your foot in the door strategy, for students who want to earn extra income while gaining hands-on experience. My friends told me, that I need to show 3 years of experience when applying for ACCA membership. I had quit work 3 years ago, and have been working as a freelance accountant since 2016. May I show my freelance experience when applying for the membership?
For me, full-time employment is not an option, as I am a mother and prefer to work from home. I need to know if freelancers can demonstrate the work they have done in the past for Annual CPD submission and also when applying for the ACCA membership.
