Hey everyone, i needed some advice regarding choosing of papers to sit for june 2019. I was going to sit for FR and PM in March 2019 sitting but due to some incidents they had to change our venue and it was not possible for me to take exams at the new venue. Now i will have to take both exams in June 2019. So i wanted ask which 3rd should i take with these two papers. And is it advisable to attempt three papers.??

    Hi @fakharhaider2,

Well, honestly I personally don’t recommend giving more than 1 paper per sitting because preparing for more than 1 overburdens the student and there’s a risk of miscalculation in terms of planning your studies and balancing all the papers. And I believe 1 paper per sitting helps to secure a good first time pass. So in this case, 3 papers in one sitting is out of the option!
But, and let me put it in capital letters, THIS IS MY PERSONAL OPINION.
ACCA allows students to give up to 4 papers per sitting. The decision is for the student to make because everyone knows their own situation better than anyone else!

    But your case is different.

From what you have mentioned you had to cancel your booking and shift it to the next sitting. Reading this I am assuming you must have prepared for most of the syllabus (if not entirely) of FR and PM. Have you?

You may need to consider the following (and another factors that may seem important) when deciding on to attempting 3 papers:
-Is my preparation for FR and PM good enough to get me a good pass?
-Will I be able to balance 3 papers?
-Will I be able to dedicate proper time to study and practice for the 3rd paper?
-Will I be able to give appropriate attention and focus to all 3?
-Can I balance this with my commitments (work, family etc)?

Because I am sure like everyone you will also certainly want to secure a good pass in your exam. That’s why it’s necessary to consider the above. The reason that I am emphasising on these factors because I know it’s very stressful dealing with 3 papers in 1 sitting – I have been there!

However, If you decide to go with 3 papers then coming to making a choice of which 3rd should it be…
Which other papers do you have remaining??

Until then, I hope what all mentioned above helps.

Finally, a humble request please refrain from posting the same question multiple times as I can see you have posted this question here too https://opentuition.com/topic/june-2019-sitting/
    Thank you.
