Hi everyone, I’m very new to ACCA but I’m starting my FIA, and I’m studying FAB at the moment, but do I need to sit the exams for FA1, FA2, MA1, MA2 and FAB, FMA and FFA? Or do I just need to do FAB, FMA and FFA, I’m not very clear on this..
I’m based in the UK if that’s a factor.

If you have the minimum qualifications for the ACCA Qualification you start with AB, FA and MA in the ACCA Qualification.
If you don’t have the minimum qualifications, you can still start with the same exams – but in the Foundations qualification rather than the ACCA Qualification. It would then be up to you to decide whether to start with any of the earlier foundation qualifications.Hey, thanks for your reply!
So I can choose to just do the FAB, FMA and FFA instead of also doing the earlier foundation qualifications?
I read a few forums and the ACCA website, but it just doesn’t make sense to me.
If a person can start at FAB, FFA and FMA then wouldn’t it be the same as doing the ACCA F1 F2 and F3?
Or, if someone enters through the Foundations route, after completing FAB FFA and FMA, do they still have to complete FA1-2 and MA1-2 before they can progress to either CAT or F4?
So all in all, when someone is entering through the Foundation levels, they have to complete 7 exams in total before progressing to CAT or F4?

@Areesha1810 please see my post on March 3, 2019 above. The point is that the ACCA Qualification has eligibility requirements.
There is no requirement to complete the four lower level certificates.
