Hi want to find out if the answer plan should be shown in my answer booklet and then subsequently write a seperate final answer

No credit will be given for an answer plan. That does not mean that producing a plan is not worthwhile:: it should allow you to produce a better answer.

Can we use the exam paper to write rough answer plans?
How will marker know that this is workings only?

Yes, you can write a plan on the answer booklet.
Perhaps if you crossed it out afterwards the marker would conclude it was to be ignored.
