could you please explain how to solve the following question.
the time taken to produce each of the first four batches of new product are as follows:
batch time taken1 100 minutes
2 70 minutes
3 59 minutes
4 55 minuteswhat is the learning rate closet to?
A. 85.0%
B.84.3%
C.78.6%
D. 70.0%the answer to the following question is B.
But I explain how to deal with this in my free lectures!!!!
The total time to produce 4 batches is 284 minutes, and therefore the average time per batch when they produce 4 batches is 284/4 = 71 minutes.
Making 4 batches involves doubling twice, and therefore 71 = 100 x r^2 (where r is the learning rate).
Therefore r = square root of (71/100) = 0.843 (or 84.3%)
