Hi all,
I’ll be sitting the PM exam next month and I’m trying to also plan for the June sessions in advance. I’m based in Ireland so maybe that will influence what I decide to go with next.
Would I be correct in saying that I would need to attend lectures for the TX Irish varient as the opentuition site covers the TX-UK varient only? Also, with changes in the syllabus, when is a good time to sit this exam (as in, if I don’t pass it in June will the material still be valid for the September sitting)?
I understand everybody has their own preference, but if you were to choose one of the below for your next exam, which would you opt for?
TX
FR
AA
FMThanks.
M.

Im based in ireland too and im aslo doing PM in march. How you feel about it? What is your study technique?
I passed F6 irish tax in december. There are only 2 sessions per year for this one (june and december) i would recomend you to do it in june. Only because december is so far away.Just remember that there are going to be few changes like vat rates etc.
Good luck,
A
February 19, 2019 at 10:30 pm #505800Thanks. Tax for June seems like the smart move in case it needs to be resit.
As for PM, there’s a significant step up in the difficulty between MA and this syllabus. I’m happy enough with section a and b questions, and I thought this would be a strong start to have when it came to section c, but I think that will be the tricky part come exam time. Guess it’s luck of the draw as to what comes up as the questions in Dec 2018 seemed doable but some of the questions in the exam kit I’m working off have me struggling to get 5 marks out of the 20.
Study technique now is just hammering away at the questions from the exam kit.
