Hi, just registered on the forum and finding some great information. I’m taking the F3 exam on December 12th and want to get going with the study. I just read that that there will be some changes in the exam for December. What changes will these be? What text would you recommend I study? I’m exempt from F1 and F2 and did well at accounting in school. Will that help a lot for the exam? Thanks for the help, just want to clear up some of this stuff before I get going! Oh actually, Is it ok if my exemptions are not fully sorted before completing the F3? Its just a matter of sending off the information really though!

well, as for your exemptions it’s nothing to worry about. And as for changes to paper introduced since december, they are all reflected in new syllabus, that can be accessed here:
https://www2.accaglobal.com/pubs/students/acca/exams/f3/syllabus/f3_syll_sg_d11_j13.pdfDuring your studies i suggest you to benefit as much as you can from free resources provided by accaglobal ,
For f3 it wil be :
– pilot paper ,
– CBE demo (even if u are going to sit PBE, you might still try CBE demo , just to get more tests to practice),
– examiner reports (highly recommended, they contain debriefs of some tricky questions from past exam sittings).
– list of examinable documents, though on F3 level, you don’t realy need to worry much about IAS/ IFRS,
you just need to study from book and practice tests.
– technical articles.
You can access all those here:
https://www2.accaglobal.com/students/acca/exams/f3/
(using navigation panel on the left).practice as many tests as u and best of luck with your exam!
