Lots of requests for a separate thread so why not. This thread can be a little calmer and less hectic for those of us not awaiting a much more life changing outcome. (But good luck to those who are).
So what exam did you sit, how do you feel you did, how will you be spending the day tomorrow and what’s next for your study plans?
This is my first time waiting, I sat PM (F5). AA next for the March sitting and well underway with my study which is mostly using opentuition.
Feeling fairly confident of a pass but less sure of how good. Hoping to do the Oxford Brooke’s degree so aiming for 70% average. Already have law at 86% so can afford to drop a few marks.
January 12, 2019 at 9:48 pm #501125Hi. I also gave PM exam. Although I am quite confident about section A and B abit concerned regarding section C Q1. I think I went way too deep and messed up alot. Hopefully that isn’t the case.
I am planning on sitting FR and TX-UK for March. Half-way done with both.
As you also mentioned I am myself trying to maintain an average above 70% but I got 72 in my LW exam. It was quite difficult. It is till now my lowest score yet. I have an average of 88% for all the FIA 7 exams. So I hope I can maintain my average for the rest of the exams. Difficult but not impossible.
I am going to spend tomorrow by just studying FR. Best way to kill time as no work tomorrow.
Good luck everyone.
@Vee would love to know how your exam went and see you on the PM Forum tomorrow. ?January 12, 2019 at 10:08 pm #501126I am awaiting the result for FR and AA. I’m confident about F8 but really really worried about F7 as i messed up the govt grant question and my consolidated balance sheet didnt match.
Best of luck to all who are awaiting resultsJanuary 13, 2019 at 5:20 am #501146Waiting P6 results second attempt as I failed it in June. I hope this time I made it , as it is a long way to wait coming June (only 2 sittings per year for the variants). No matter what the result is I will start lessons with a tutor face to face in a university for my “last” p7 next week. This is my 8th year doing ACCA and it’s too much. I hope I finish it this year.
January 13, 2019 at 5:50 am #501148Am anxious about the results
January 13, 2019 at 7:42 am #501158I’m awaiting AA at the first attempt. Did really well in F2, 3, 5, 6, 7 but found AA very different and didn’t feel great coming out the exam. I’ve felt confident coming out others have a good pass and smashed it but so long as I passed I’ll take it. Doing FM in March

Best of luck to all who are awaiting resultsI’m waiting for the same and feel the same about them, lol!
AA was my second attempt and I felt a lot more confident this time round, so fingers crossed!!
F7, completely messed up the consolidation. My only consolation is that I messed up a 20 marker in my PM exam and managed to pass it, so hoping i did well in section A & B and the other 20 mark question in FR!!Good luck everyone waiting for results, not long now!!
January 13, 2019 at 7:49 pm #501251How’s everyone feeling?
I can imagine feeling more uncertain about AA as it’s so much more heavily wordy. Plus subjective as to whether you’ve explained enough etc.
I was very happy coming out of PM which is a good sign but it has definitely faded.
Just over four hours to go.
January 13, 2019 at 7:51 pm #501252Yeah same for me. I am critically judging myself for all the sections attempted. I am sure I will pass just I want to pass with great marks.
almost 4 hours 😀January 13, 2019 at 8:09 pm #501253I took SBR and AAA in December.
Honestly, I don’t expect I’ve passed either of them, so any pass will be a nice surprise. That’s probably the reason I’m not totally obsessed with waiting for the results, even though I’m feeling a bit nervous at times.
I’m not even that mad at myself because SBR was insanely hard and not really what I had expected, whilst AAA seemed pretty reasonable but it’s always very difficult to pass. It was my first attempt and given that I’m not an auditor and I’m not very good at written papers, I don’t expect very much.
I have yet to take AFM. My wishful thinking is that I could finalise all exams in March but I’m not sure if I can handle three professional exams at one session. And I also have my job, which is still my priority over finishing ACCA.
January 13, 2019 at 8:16 pm #501254I’m very curious of what the global pass rate for SBR is for the December session. If it is still at around 50% then either waffling is tolerated much more that for P2, or the pass mark was scaled.
By the way, I’ve disabled the option to receive text messages with exam results. No more extra stress! Tomorrow morning is just as good, and I’ll be wide awake and ready for work.
January 13, 2019 at 8:43 pm #501258Moveone why did you opt for AAA if you aren’t in audit and not good at written exams?
I think APM will be most relevant for my job so I hope my PM result will be good.
January 13, 2019 at 8:47 pm #501260I’m waiting for ATX! It was a tough exam, so not sure!! 🙁 Come on midnight! Good Luck y’all!
January 13, 2019 at 8:54 pm #501263It would be too long to explain everything but in short, I’ve decided that AFM and AAA are the best combination for me, and I could benefit from studying for AAA more than APM. Maybe I’ll become an auditor at some point too. Rather unlikely but I don’t rule that out. Besides, I’ve passed F4, F7, F8, P1 and studied for P2/SBR – and all of that is tested at AAA.
As a side note, I actually enjoyed F5. It was probably my favourite exam from the Skills module. F6 was by far the hardest to learn but probably F8 was the hardest to pass.
January 14, 2019 at 2:20 am #501454Got 64% AAA Final exam! Over the moon! Finally! So happy! Link theory and tick on e business works for me!
January 14, 2019 at 7:42 am #501592@Iryna: Impressive!
I’m pretty happy with the results myself. I have passed SBR even though I barely wrote anything for question 4 and my performance in the other questions was far from good, to say the least.
I however failed AAA as I had expected. It was just 33% so by no means a marginal fail. I intend to do much more timed questions (well… I just read questions and answers last time, to be honest), revise my exam technique and revise the way we are expected to answer questions. I’m not sure if this will be enough of a change, but I’m not switching to a different paper yet.
