I just wondered if anyone else came up with tricks for remembering their case names?
I was glad I was able to use some case names today as I was worried I would forget all of them when i opened the paper
For contributory negligence I quoted Sayer v Harlow. i remember this because the case involved a lady being trapped in a toilet cublicle. I thought to myself, if I was trapped I would “Say Hello” until someone came to help me. Say Hello = Sayer Harlow
For discussing the difference of invitation to treat and offer for sale I discussed the case of Fisher v Bell about the guy displaying a kniife in his window. i remembered this by “FISHER Price are more likely to sell toys with a BELL on than they are knives”
Just wondered if anyone else has any tricks for remembering.

June 14, 2011 at 10:17 pm #83608That’s hilarious….we’re not likely to forget Lister v Romford now!
Most of the cases that I remember are linked to people that I know either personally, or are famous. For the Fisher v Bell, I know a very good violinist called Fisher, and Joshua Bell is a famous violinist too. For Bradbury v Morgan, I know a cellist who’s surname is Bradbury, who sometimes plays with a violist called Morgan (I’m a musician by the way!).

November 7, 2011 at 11:04 pm #83611i also remember by famous people and people who i know. For Harris v Nickerson a stmt. of intention deals with an auction i would think of the two actors jack NICKERSON & HARRISon ford at an auction – statement of intention.
