Hi I am really struggling with the concept of interest rate futures I just can’t get my head around what it is we are actually doing, I have watched your free lectures twice and I have the notes too.
December 5, 2018 at 4:02 pm #487626It is impossible for me to say more without knowing what it is that is puzzling you.
However, appreciate (as I say in my lectures) that you cannot be asked any calculations on futures in Paper FM. I only work through a simple example in order to try and make it more clear how they work .
If you are taking the exam this week, then do not worry about it any more – it will never be so many marks in the exam and it is more important that you concentrate on other topics that carry more marks.
(If, on the other hand, you are not taking the exam this week, then do think about it more and ask me more 🙂 )
December 5, 2018 at 4:03 pm #487627Thank you, I am sitting the exam on Friday and will focus more on the other big parts of the syllabus!
December 5, 2018 at 4:27 pm #487644You are welcome, and I hope that all goes well for you on Friday 🙂
