Hello!
So I understand that after finishing the Fundamentals of ACCA, we are given a Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4).
What caught my attention was that “business” is also mentioned. Does that mean that there’s also a possibility to pursue a career in a business management field or so? or is only in accounting?
Thank you.
The various ACCA qualifications provide a wide range of syllabi. Of course the emphasis is on accounting-related topics but, for example the Strategic Business Leader paper in the main ACCA qualification has lot on business planning and strategy.
Newly-qualifieds’ first jobs are likely to be in an accountancy function, but often, as careers progress and experience and training increase, roles develop as well. Many CEOs originally came from an accountancy background.
Thank you for the answer. I love how ACCA can open many doors of opportunities.
