Hi i am sitting F7 UK version for the first time this June (i now relaise i should really sit the Intl version) however my bpp books are for uk and intl what are the mian differences between the two? Also what is the layout for the Profit and loss and balance sheet in the exam will it be the same as the intl or as previous uk exams? I dont want to layout my proformas in the exam in the wrong format! Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, I am sorry, I’ve no idea about the UK version else I’d have helped you. Aren’t there any ppl around who’re appearing for the same version too? Have you checked the acca site and related articles?

I’m in the same position and have been trying to clarify what’s going on with Kaplan and ACCA. The way I understand it at the moment is that the questions will be in international format, but there will be up to 10% of the marks testing variations between IFRS and UK GAAP. So effectively we have to do more work either way :S
I don’t know for sure about the terminology/proforma but we will know once we see the paper which to use I guess! If you have been UK stream all along you will already know the UK terminology and the INT terms will be useful in the future as they are changing other exams as well.
I’ve sent a query to ACCA about which of the past papers (INT or UK) are better to use for revision purposes and will let you know if I get any response.
In the mean time there is a really good article here summarizing the differences between UK GAAP and IFRS, with reference to the standards in both system:
