    Hi,
I chose P7 UK version for this June sitting.
This is my first P7 sitting and previously took P2 INT version so I have IFRS knowledge to use in P7 UK exam.
The course I took at the tuition provider was INT stream, I used Kaplan INT/UK textbook.

Because of the syllabus changes and qustion style changes, how can I prepare for P7 UK version for this sitting

That, I’m afraid, I don’t know. We use international ISAs and IFRSs so all our auditing and accounting papers, courses, course notes are aimed at the international student in those papers.

I can’t help you with the UK P7 variant.

Have you tried contacting a ny tutors at the bigger tuition providers? Like BPP or FTCK?

I am takin the UK P7 variant in this sitting…i actually intended to sit the exam back in December but never got round to it. I have been using the old 2010 book (Which i now know is out of date) and have seen a few of your coments relating to changes from UKGAAP to IFRS. Does this mean i would actually benefit more from looking at international past papers as opposed to UK past papers? Also if i were to follow your lectures on international financial reporting would that be beneficial??

Really worried now that i have been looking at the wrong stuff.. 🙁 i should have just purchased the new book 🙁

It can’t do you any harm to read through the P7 International Revision kit. In fact, you should find that much of it coincides with the UK version – at least, all that part which comes down to common sense! The potential major difference is when you may feel you want to quote a UK Statement by name or number. I don’t think I would worry unduly about that!
