Hi Sir,

I just wanted to ask if the rules in IFRS3 for Negative Goodwill the same as that previous Accounting Standard on Business Combinations and do we deduct it from the Assets or Net assets.

Neither – you credit it in Comp Income at the first available opportunity – ie in the fin stats next prepared after acquisition
