what is the auditors responsibility to consider laws and regulations ? pleas help
Being an auditor does not exempt you from complying with laws. This is expressly recognised in audit confidentiality where there can be legal duties to disclose information.
If there were a head-on conflict eg a law which said that any company owned by the president’s family had to be given a clean audit report then you could not also state that the audit had complied with ISAs etc.
So this means that an auditor is not above law
