hello!
This is my first time attempting the new cbes which are available. I have watched and read all the guides provided by acca about these. However, I still have few questions about the spreadsheet in particular. Firstly, does the examiner ask questions on WCM in section c of the paper ?
If so, how do i go about presenting simple calculations on the spreadsheet, for example, receivables paying within 30 days=50%*15m*30/365=616438. Now should I just type all the numbers and answer in one cell or should i type each number in a different cell and put the formula in the spreadsheet. Wouldn’t this take a lot of time this way and appear confusing ?
I am sorry if i sound dumb ; ). Answer dealing with financial statements or Budgets are little easier to present since they have a proforma but these simple calculations are confusing me and i don’t know how to proceed with question practice.October 3, 2018 at 2:42 pm #476229Yes – working capital management can be asked in Section C.
It is important that your workings are there (because it is the workings that get the marks rather than the final answer in Section C).
Best is to have the workings as formulae in the spreadsheet (the marker can check the formulae) but otherwise type out the workings and then put the number in.
Check the sample CBE exams on the ACCA website to see how their spreadsheet operates.
