Whats the difference between a time sheet and a clock card|?
September 12, 2018 at 2:54 pm #474235A time sheet is a sheet where the employee records how much time they spent on each different type of work. For example, people working for an audit company fill in time sheets recording how much time they spend each day on each separate client that they are doing work for. The company then uses the timesheets when calculating how much to invoice the client.
Clock cards are cards that you insert into a machine when you arrive for work, and it stamps the card with the time. When you leave in the evening, you insert it into the machine again and it again stamps it with the time. Some companies use them so that they can check how many hours in total their workers have worked each day.
September 14, 2018 at 10:45 am #474561The wage rate in a company is as follows:
1.Basic daily guaranteed time rate per hour is $15
2. Bonus rate if it exceeds the standard is 30% of the basic time rate for additional units produced.
3. Normal standard output is 85 units
4. Weekly working hours is 44 hours
5. Output produced is 105 units
calculate the weekly wage earning?September 14, 2018 at 3:51 pm #474593It is pointless to simply set me test questions and expect an answer.
You must have an answer in the same book in which you found the question, and so ask about whatever it is in the answer that you are not clear about.
(I assume, obviously, that you watched my free lectures before attempting the question)
September 14, 2018 at 6:10 pm #474607Frankly speaking we were given the question as part of assignment. My instructor told me the answer is 1510 but I don’t know how to arrive at that answer. I wouldn’t post it if I knew the answer. Trust me this question disturbs me a lot and that is why I posted.
Sorry I am not trying to challenge anyone! I just want help and that is why I posted it HERE. Sorry if I offended anyone.
September 15, 2018 at 10:40 am #474639You have not offended anyone, but I really do not understand why you have not asked your instructor to explain why the answer is 1,510 !
(and you have not said whether or not you have watched my free lectures on this!)
On the information that you have typed, the answer is certainly not 1,510.
The basic pay is 44 x $15 = $660.
The standard time per unit is 44/85 hours. Therefore the bonus for the extra 20 units is 20 x 44/85 x 30% x $15 = $46.59
