Sir. I have a study text valid from September 2015 to June 2016

With the latest revision kit, should I be okay in the exam for 2019 June?

I have looked at the syllabus, but I couldn’t see any major change in the syllabus.

I am asking just in case. Thank you for in advance 🙂

I no longer have the 2015 syllabus, and so I cannot check what changes there have been since then. I do not think there have been any major changes.

If you have spotted any changes from that in your Study Text and are unsure as to their importance then ask and I will tell you whether or not they are important.

However, if you are watching my free lectures, then you do not really need a Study Text. The lectures are a complete, up-to-date free course and cover everything needed to be able to pass the exam well.

Far more important than the Study Text (however you decide to study) is to have a Revision Kit from one of the ACCA approved publishers. They contain lots of exam standard questions (and past exam questions) for practice, and practice is vital to passing the exam. It is important that you have a current edition of the Revision Kit because the format of the exam has changed a lot.

Thank you for your reply sir.

Yes! I am unsure as to their importance..

The changes from 2015 to 2019 June are the followings

    2016 to 2017

C1 Budgetary systems and types of budget (Section and Subject Area)

C1 is now combines the previous C1 and C2 and as a result the learning outcomes have been re-ordered. Learning outcomes C1g and C1h were previously C8d and C8f.

C1f is a new learning outcome focused on beyond budgeting.

C7 Performance analysis (Section and Subject Area)

Previously was C8 and titled ‘Performance analysis and behavioural aspects’. C8d and C8f have been moved to C1 and as a result the learning outcomes have been reordered

    2017 to 2018

C1 Budgetary systems and types of budget (Section and Subject Area)

C1e now includes specific mention of the preparation of flexed budgets

D6 Performance analysis in not for profit organisations and the public sector (Section and Subject Area)

D6e – D6h are new learning outcomes to enable common issues in performance management to be examined explicitly in this organisational context

    2018 to 2019

A3b) This has been amended to include the calculation of a life cycle profit.

Please, Could you tell me If I can be okay with this old study text with revision kit .

I would be also appreciated which part of the lecture I should partially watch to cover the major changes that matter a lot.

The lectures are a complete course and need to be watched in order, rather than picking at random 🙂

All of the topics you listed are covered in full in the free lectures.
