    Hi guys,
    Just thought I’d start up a thread so we could offer a bit of moral support, and maybe ask/answer a few questions coming up to a CBE.

    So I’ve got mine at the end of February. Still have a good bit to do, but am confident that I’ll get through it. This is my first time to sit this exam and am doing 18 hours study/revision at the moment. I keep going back over some areas I forget or struggle with to keep them fresh.

    How are others preparing? Do you have the course completed and are now revising?

    I am doing my exam CBE in feb aswell, I should of taken it ages ago it’s just where I was studying at home I wasn’t doing it continous, but now I have been I think I should hopefully have done enough to pass but I’ll have to wait and see.

    I’m doing alot of practice questions and working where I am going wrong and focusing on those parts.

    @maes
    I am studying at home too. So tired of practice questions now! Barely getting 50% in practice exams… and it’s always the easy computations I get wrong 🙁 need to concentrate more.

    @student7861
    Lucky you being able to do 5-6 hours a day! That is great being able to get in that much time

    All my free time now is devoted to studying, so hoping to get above pass mark soon, it will allow me some give in the exam (I hope!)

    Best wishes to all in their exams, come back afterwards and let us know how you do
    🙂

    If you had to resit a CBE f2, and you chose to do so within a few weeks or a month, does anyone know if the questions will be different? Please reply thanks!

    hi pple

    had my f2 exam yesterday!!..i failed, so atm very disappointed..i got 39%!considering its out of 90 marks, im guessing i needed 5-6 marks to pass..o weel, booked again for next week..revising even harder!

    @maes

    doesnt matter when you take the exams, the questions are randomly selected from a question bank… good luck!!

    @student7861

    Sorry to hear that you didn’t get it this time. Hopefully you will get on better next week!

    Are the questions tougher than what are generated on the ACCA’s CBE demo? I am currently practicing questions using BPP’s iPass, would you think that these are of exam standard, if you have experience of them that is?

    Good luck with your revision, again 🙁

    @maes
    When are you due to sit your exam?

    I’m sitting mine on Feb 25th. Getting the 50% mark now in all the practice exams I am doing, need to get higher though…

    @lostbecky

    no worries…hopefully will pass this time!!…the acca cbe demo is helpful..bt the questions in the actual paper are harder..also the demo repeats its questions over n over..so you will get to no all the answers by 2,3rd time..so its not much of a test after that..never tried BPP iPass..

    sounds good
    good look..

    @maes

    its ok, no worries!erm..the main topics,it was a selection of everything, but the most i can remember was linear programming and regression analysis, the simultaneous equations..killer!!!!..i think thats what failed me..bt then i asked my friend who aslo took the exam, and he he passed..he said his questions were all on absorption, and marginal costing and profit related. I guess if its your day, its your day, i know i would have passed with them kinda questions

    good luck to all

    @student7861

    Thanks, I read after my post that it is just randomly selected and everyone has different questions, I hate those simulataneous equations lol. I just hope process costing doesn’t come up too much, I struggle the most with that topic. Good luck when u do your exam next!

    Hi
    I too did not pass. It is a tricky test. I got a lot of qts that were not numerical that basically tested my understanding in different ways. I got 41%. There were a few qts on wip accounts – not a strong point for me!
    Did anyone else get questions where there was a number missing in the question, a typo really?
    Not too sure when to do it again or even whether to do cbe or paper exam next time.
