I know that the P1 syllabus has changed for june 2011 and i was wondering if the text for dec 2010 can still work or do I need to purchase a completely new text book.

It has changed, but substantially all the material in the 2010 text will be still relevant. It is also correct – nothing has changed in terms of law or revision of fundamentals. It’s possible that bits are no longer in the syllabus and that a greater emphasis has been placed on existing bits of the text for the revised syllabus. But, the 2010 text will be substantially valid
