Hi everyone,
I failed my F2 exam back in July and I have yet to take a resit, finding it difficult get the motivation. Does anyone have any tips or point me in the right direction of a revision class. I found the exam questions were different from what I was studying…did anyone else feel like that?
Thank you

There is no need to get disheartened. I know it’s easier said than done. But the pass rates of F2 is lower than F1 and F3. When I was doing F2, i personally found it really tough!
So before you actually get started, see which topics of the Syllabus you Don’t like and which ones you find tough. Attack those topics first! Since such topics get neglected by students as they tend to get deferred to be done at the end. And the next thing you know, these topics are prepared weakly.
Then coming to how to go about with revision? Just one crucial thing… PRACTISE! Do as much and as many practice questions! Get an exam kit of an ACCA Approved Provider and do questions. If you have done them, then grab the kit of another Provider or Repeat All the Questions Again! See your mistakes properly, see where you have gone wrong and in which topic area.
And if you think anywhere you need to Revise a topic… Grab the notes and read them. But since you have already studied F2, you wouldn’t need to give much time to the notes.
Then I will advise you to read the examiner’s report too… Will help you to get an idea what to expect… You will get to learn the common student mistakes and so that you can avoid them.Hope this helps.
