Hello,
I’m a bit confused about the YouTube lectures for absorption of overheads, the video titles are all slightly different. Are these lectures focusing on the 3 step method (allocation and apportionment, reapportionment and absorption)? And if so, in what order should they be used?
Many thanks in advance,

https://opentuition.com/cima/cima-ba2/cima-ba2-lectures/I don’t know what you mean by saying the video titles are all slightly different – different from what?
The absorption of overheads is dealt with in the lectures on Chapter 4 of our free lecture notes (and there is only one method! The lectures explain allocation, apportionment and absorption).

Thank you for your reply.
The video titles are slightly different from each other, so it’s difficult to decipher in which order they should be watched just by looking at the titles (obviously excluding those titled “part c” and “part d”).
I spent some time working through the lecture “absorption of overheads” only to eventually realise the content was irrelevant to the exam I’m taking. Is this video supposed to be part a?
August 9, 2018 at 9:21 am #467057I’ve just watched “Accounting for overheads, more than one department” under the impression it must be “part b” but at the end, the lecturer said there’d be one final lecture to follow. I’m confused, as there are videos named “part c” and “part d”, I assumed “part c” would be the third lecture and “part d” the final lecture.
I have found these lectures very helpful so far, it is a shame they aren’t in order on YouTube. I’ve looked in the other forums and it doesn’t seem anyone has had the same problem I’m having. I’m now going to follow the link you’ve posted for me in the hope that the lectures will be listed in the correct order.
Thanks again for your help.
