Hello
Do we use mid market as well to calculate the gain or loss in th future deal which will be in dollars or do we use the buy or sell rate depending which way it goes?

Only one price is quoted for futures and you use that price (assuming that you know the price at the date of the transaction). With regard to the spot rate to use – that depends on whether you are buying or selling the currency. You do not use the mid-market price.
