Hi everone, i need some career advice.
I have finished my A levels last year and started ACCA this january. I have already clear level one ACCA and currently studying for the F5 exams. I really found management accounting to be interesting, although my current job is in the audit department as i needed it to pa tuition fees. I never knew about CIMA before and thought that ACCA was enough for me for m career goals. So, if i want to be a management accountant, will doing ACCA P5-Advance performance management be enough or should i start with CIMA or complete ACCA and take advantage of exemption. Please send help.I wouldn’t worry too much about the fact you are studying ACCA rather than CIMA,even though your career aspirations are more management accounts focussed.Experience is much more valuable to employers than any given accountancy qualification on its own.At the moment it seems you are doing well and in my view,as long as you explain why you took an audit role rather than a management accounting one (
for practical reasons) it shouldn’t count against you and indeed a future employer may appreciate your breadth of experience.
