    Hi Ken,

    I hope you’re well.

I have been through all the opentuition SBL lectures and I am planning to sit another exam as well in September sitting. Do you think SBL and P5 is best combination?

I am qualified by experience but it’s been a while that I haven’t done any exam. Could you please answer these queries of mine?

1). Do you think Kaplan revision kit for SBL should be enough for question practice?
2). Ideally how many weeks I should leave for revision and question practice?
3). I was planning to condense opentuition lectures notes and I found most of the syllabus as common sense because I have worked as an auditor and Group accountant. What part of the syllabus should I focus on preparing short notes?

    Many thanks

    Syed

1 Yes. One kit is enough.

2 Sorry, can’t answer this. It depends on,your other commitmemts and how you get on with the syllabus and questions.

3 Models. You will not ever be asked to explain a model but you will be expected to use suitable models appropriately. Using models help youmto progress to solutions and make your answers more respectable and professional. Besides the exam is not called “Strategic Common Sense”. There is a body of theory you must know (then apply it in a common sense way!)

P5 is quite a good fit, but don’t underestimate SBL.
