    Thanks

Hi – no Glo and Eng are NOT the same. However, there is a substantial amount of overlap and in one exam – maybe three years ago – they were exactly the same.

If you want to use OpenTuition to the fullest and get the greatest benefit, then I suggest you enter for the English variant. There are plans to put global course notes onto the site, but I’m only part way through writing them. HOPEFULLY, they will be up in time for the June 2011 season, but there’s always the possibility that, for whatever reason, I miss the deadline 🙁

Hi – no, there will not be global-dedicated lectures – even for June 2011. However, I’m just in the process of proof-reading the course notes recently completed so there should at least be notes up on the site. In addition, as stated higher up this string, there is quite an overlap between English and Global variants, particularly in the company law area.

    Hi
I have just passed F6 & F8 (very happy) and I am thinkng of sitting F4 and F5.

I have never used any resources from the Open Tuition website before and would be grateful if you can advise me what is available (notes, lecture etc.).

I am also confused as to which F4 paper to take. I have seen all of the following:
    F4 English
    F4 Global
    F4 UK
    F4 International.

I work and live in England.

I can’t get onto the ACCA website to seek clarification on this.

    Thanks
    Gina

Hi For F4, the choices are English and Global so far as you are concerned – unless you want Botswana ( or similar! )

At the moment, the only notes and lectures are for English Law. However, Global law notes will be on the website very soon. There will NOT be lectures for Global law in the foreseeable future.

So, if you want to hear relevant law lectures, you need to choose English Law.

NB International variant applies to auditing and accounting papers. UK applies to tax papers. English applies to the F4 law paper

Thanks for getting back to me. I think I will go with the English option.
