    Dear Sir,

Could you please how ACCA mark the questions for the CBE March/June 2017 for the overdraft part. Why they required the exam taker to calculate the ending of inventory/payable/receivable and mark such workings while the questions only requires calculation of the ending of overdraft? Even the students can’t calculate the ending of inventory/payable/receivable they can derive the ending of overdraft

You need to do workings on the inventory, payables and receivables in order to calculate the overdraft at the end.

However as far as the marking is concerned, if you look at the paper version of the exam (which is exactly the same as the CBE version for Section C) then at the end of the answers you will see the marking scheme that the markers use. That shows how many marks are given for each bit of the answer (and they use the same marking scheme for both CBE and paper-based.)
