Hi it seems one student in this forum has got back his review with his mark changed to a pass, it sounds kinda unreal.
I myself have submitted a review for my p6 paper and till date have not received any letter from ACCA of the outcome of my review.
I called ACCA 2 times and they insisted that the review’s will only be known the week commencing the 20th of september.
Any guys out there have got their review’s outcome???September 18, 2010 at 7:08 am #68326AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

Have u heard of anyone who get their exams results before the release date?
This guy is just showing off….as far as i know of many of my friends who submitted for a review have yet to get the outcome….September 18, 2010 at 7:41 pm #68328AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

Well it is hardly fair to call me a liar and a showoff for being fortunate enough to get my review back early and get the mark changed.
I was suprised to get it back before the 20th & I thought it must have been sent by mistake, but it was not.My admin review actually came back unchanged, but the part where it stated which questions I answered was incorrect, so I badgered them for a week to get them to look again.
A change from 36% – 67% is a pretty significant mistake by the ACCA and as a fellow student I put my experience on this forum to give people hope, and to show that the ACCA isn’t infalible like most people seem to think.
But it seems there are some people who are unable to be happy for others…..

And ive just called ACCA Office today… they were saying the results are posted today and ill receive it through post.. i ask them to scan and mail me too.. !! but they cant do it and results can only be sent through post.. What The F*** is that :@ !! i mean .. we cant check it online.. we cant receive mails for results.. we just have to wait for the post now.. what the Heck did we pay 45 pounds for then !!!
September 20, 2010 at 1:02 pm #68333@ yellowhat i am not accusing you of telling lies. After reading your posting a week back i called up ACCA and enquired about my review and they insisted that the week commencing 20th september.I then told them a friend of mine had already received his review by post, ACCA insisted that it is impossible and stated that your friend must have been mistaken…It seems ACCA is not professional at all some students get the reviews early and some get em late…
Just wanted to ask you yellowhat after your result was amended to a pass how long did it take them to update in the MYACCA portal was it instant or it took a few days?
I’m seriously happy that you passed and my sincere apologies if i hurt your feelings…..
Cheers….

Acca love to give the impressional they are never wrong.
I am not saying they make many mistakes, but their attitude that they are always right 100% of the time is rubbish. The worse thing is that when my review came back they went on for a page about the 9 checks they have and how they assure me my mark is accurate, and I dont even think they checked it.
My grade was changed and my £50 was credited to my student account within a couple of days, so at least they do that aspect quickly.
Well good luck with your review, and if you sat a paper with optional questions, make sure they have marked you on the right ones.

You can get your results online but for that you need to check the box in myACCA. There is a deadline when you can do this. The deadline is usually 20 days before the declaration of results. You may check the box now, if you haven’t already…Your future exam results will be e-mailed to you..
I got my result via e-mail..I’m waiting for the copy they send via post..:)

Hi,
I had sent for an admin review myself, and the outcome came back unchanged.
I had sent them an email on the 20th asking them whether I’d be receiving them via post or email, I got a reply with the outcome emailed to me, and the p/f details attached. Therefore, it is funny that they would refuse to do the same for another person.
I’ve had similar instances with ACCA in the past, where their rules do not seem to apply to everyone equally.
I have passed all my ACCA papers in the first attempt, and failed the last optional (P7) twice. I got 48% the last time, and therefore I did not send for a review then (as it was marginal, and having read ACCA’s procedures, was aware that all marginal fails are re-checked 3 times). The surprising part was that I got 41% this time, a complete shocker as I had had a good paper. I’ve read the examiner’s comments and the answers, and believe mine to be along the same lines. I’m thinking if I should send for an appeal. ACCA’s response to my enquiry abt the appeal was that the team would be reviewing my script, but it would not be remarked. This would ofcourse be along with looking into my appeal request. Any thoughts? Should I go for it, or book the exam and start preparing for it?September 22, 2010 at 10:07 am #68339Hi Wondersy,
I called ACCA with the appeal issue this morning…the advisor told me that under no circumstances are the papers remarked. Instead a person independent of the ACCA will check that the admin review was correctly carried out (in other words another recount of the marks on the script). They advised that it would be very unlikely to change due to the 9 checks in place etc.
I’m in 2 minds about appealing too…but going by Yellowhat’s experience, it goes to show that they are capable of making errors.
