    Hi,
I have passed first seven papers of ACCA . Now F8 and F9 are remaining in fundamental level, but i am planning to appear in F9 and P1 paper. I dont want to take F8 in december attempt, because i am not yet prepared for f8.
Please guide me can i take F9 and P1 in this attempt?
Somebody told me that i have to appear in f8 also as per ACCA exam policy.
    Please tell me i’m confused.

    Aslam o alikum
    My dear brother in Islam
Yes of course there is a policy of ACCA that u can’t sit any professional level papers until you have completed part 2 i-e skills module, but i can give u a plan
You can sit 4 exam of P1 by paying fees of f8,f9 and P1 and then become absent in F8
    That is an option
But what I recommend u is its better to take f8 before P1 because there are lots of concepts in f8 which are further developed in P1
    I would say F8 is a base for P1,as F3 for F7.
I know it by my experience because i took F5,F6,F8 and F9 in june 2010 session which i passed ALHAMDULILLAH,Now i am taking F7,F4,P1 and P3 for dec 2010
And f8 is helping me allot in P1 in ethics, corporate governance and f9 also helped out me in risks section of P1.
You have ample of time to study f8 and f9
you should take classes from an institute because it is very important to develop concepts in these two.
You may ask me for any help in future also.
    Good Luck 🙂

Salams, moshi is right am also in P123 and knowledge that i gained in F8 is helping alot in all chapters of P1, if you call p1 an advance version of f8 it wouldn’t be wrong, so i recomend you to pass f8 first or both of them simultainously
