I worked in an accounting role a few years back. At that time my supervisor/line manager was not a qualified accountant. The person qualified only recently. Can they sign off for my PER?

May 14, 2018 at 12:43 pm #451858Hi, I want to know if my supervisor is required to sign off my work through his official email id or his personal id? because even though he is an ACCA member, he just recently resigned and only after his resigning did my PER time got completed. I’m confused if he can still sign off or not.
May 14, 2018 at 3:09 pm #451873I don’t think it matters at all what email address they have or whether they will still work for the company. The important thing is that
a) They are currently a member of ACCA/ACA/CIMA/other recognised body
b) They supervised or otherwise observed you completing the objectives or time that they are signing offIf they have left the company they can still sign it off – you can update their email address if they no longer have access to the email you sent the request to.
