Hi, I passed my F5 and F6 exams and I am going to attempt F7 and F8 in Dec 2010.
I have always used Bpp study text and revision kits with OT materials, no college. Can someone give me advice on how to approach F7? Like how much time, each day or weekly etc?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,August 29, 2010 at 6:36 am #67260I have BPP and Kaplan for F7 and F8. I prefer Kaplan than BPP for text book and BPP for revision kit.
You will definitely find F7 Kaplan a lot easier to understand as it is taught step by step. Other publishers for F7 I find it a total waste of time.
Time is not an issue when it comes to study. Shcedule yourself based on the chapter and when to finish. Allow 1 month just for revising on the kit over and over again.
Good luck

hello, i’m also planning to do self-study for f7. i’ve bought the kaplan text book and revision kit. the kaplan notes are indeed easy to understand as i’ve already worked through some chapters on consolidation with no probs. i don’t think it’s necessary to go to college. my plan is to cover the free OT lectures and work through the OT notes as a supplement to the kaplan notes. good luck to you.

Hi:
Weekly or daily…it depends on personal approach. If you are relying on self study, I would suggest that you tackle new topics on weekdays and revise them on weekends. Leave a month for revision.
As far as publishers are concerned, its more a matter of personal preference. I chose Kaplan because quite frankly the language is easier to follow, and doesn’t beat about the bush.
