    Sir i am in the process of practicing how to write test of controls in the exam and will like for you to confirm if i have the right approach.
    Below is an example for the sales system.

    Control Objective:
    To ensure that only the quantity and description of goods ordered by the customer is delivered.

    Control Procedure:
    The stores outward clerk checks the goods dispatch note to the customer’s order before the goods leave the warehouse.

    Test of Control:
    I would ensure that only the quantity & description of goods orded is dispatched by selecting a sample of goods dispatch notes and the attached sales order notes and agreeing the quantity & description of goods on both documents.

    Yes. Very good, but too much writing for one test. It can really all be said by just the part you write under the test of control, which is what you are wanting to write about.
