Hey guys,
I am sitting F7 and F8 in Dec 2010. What other paper would you recommend that I sit for along with the two others, F9 or P1?
August 25, 2010 at 6:57 pm #67096Hi Rolusola. Probably you can give P1 a try. F9 is Financial Management and the workload coupled with the other two courses that you will be doing may be challenging. P1 which is Professional Accountant has some areas of F8 in it so this may be a plus for you. Regards…

hey! you need to check if you can opt for p1 if you skip f9.
August 25, 2010 at 8:31 pm #67098you know what…I totally forgot about that. I would have to take F9 as well if I am going to opt for P1 since it is in a different module! Thank you!
I am just not sure if it would be too much to do F9 and F7 in the same sitting. I am just keen to get done! I did not pass F7 in June, so I am familiar with the material, but F9 seems intense!
August 29, 2010 at 4:21 pm #67099Hi rolusola, i think u can’t take P1 until u have finished all the fundamental level papers. u can take P1 but it should have to be in serial like F7 F8 F9 and P1. you can’t skip any papers from F level before you start professional level, unless u got exemption.
so F7 F8 F9 is ur paprs for december 2010.
thanks

In fact, you could try F7, F8 and P1 without having tried F9. However, you will need to ENTER for the F9 exam. If you choose not to turn up on the day, that will not stop you from taking P1.
However ( again ) if you have just taken F7 and failed it, how can you say that you are familiar with the material? i think I would limit myself to 2 exams each 6 months – say F7 and F8 this December followed by F9 and P1 next June
