For June 2018 P5 exam preparation, from today onwards, how many past exam papers should I practice writing? and from which year to which year? What else should be prepared?
Don’t go back earlier than June 2011. Don’t necessarily do whole papers. Revise a topic then look for questions that match. You should look at all the large questions if you can. Just plan some answers and plan and complete others.
When you compare you attempts to the model answer, be critical. Identify what the MA said compared to what you did (it will obviously always say more). Be particularly alert as to where you might have got hold of the ‘wrong end of the stick’ and understand why you did that.
For each 10 marks try to produce about 1.25 pages.
How many sentences could I earn 1 mark for p5?
I’m not sure it quite works like that. 1 mark = about 2 minutes so I suppose 2 sentences. No marks for them if they talk rubbish!
It usually takes a couple of sentences to explain things properly.
