Well, as you have failed F8, you will have to apply to sit F8 alongside your next P paper. You will not be allowed to enter for P1 and P3 without it.

June is the last sitting for P1 and P3 so you must pass both or you will have to take the new SBL exam and your efforts will have been wasted.

So the way I see it you have 4 possible options for June:

    1) You take F8, P1 and P3 all together. I wouldn’t really recommend this! However, you were close to passing P1 and very close to passing F8 so it’s not impossible.

    2) You enter for F8, P1 and P3 but you don’t study for F8 and don’t show up to the exam – you only study for P1 and P3. You will sacrifice your F8 entry fee, but you give yourself the best possible chance of passing P1 and P3. If you pass P1 and P3 you get a converted pass for SBL, even if you don’t attend for F8. You will have to take F8 alongside your next P paper.

    3) You give up on P1 and P3 as it’s too big a risk to try and pass them both in one go. You accept that you will take the new SBL paper instead. You take F8 alongside a different P paper – P2 or P4-P6 (unfortunately you can’t take P7 in the same sitting as it’s on the same day). However you say you’ve already attended classes for P1 and P3 and it’s probably too late to take classes for anything else.

    4) You give up on P1 and P3 and you only take F8 – you concentrate on this paper only, get it cleared and then you have free choice out of the remaining 4 exams for the next sitting.

Which option you take is up to you, but I think I’d go with 2 personally! I guess it depends on how much study you think you will need to pass F8 this time around. You were very very close before.

    Hi Chris

Thank you! I will go for option 2 as F8 CBE exam fall on the same date as paper based,no significant advantage to go for CBE. If we could choose date, I wish I could sit in F8 CBE exam weeks after paper based exam. It is just the possible option before I find out the CBE fall on the same date as paper based. 🙂

    Thanks again!
