Sir, I have been attempting P4 for the past few attempts and have been falling short marginally, scoring between 45-49 marks. I have referred the OpenTuition study text as well as BPP Study Text along with solving practice questions available in the BPP book.
Now I plan to watch your video lectures just to be sure if I am missing anything.
However, upon reading reviews of your website, I found that they were not quite appreciative of the DEPTH of the content in your videos. Kindly tell if the video lectures cover the FULL course and in how much depth.Awaiting an early response.

April 20, 2018 at 3:42 pm #448263There is no OpenTuition Study Text – only the free lecture notes and there is no point in using them without watching the lectures, because it is in the lectures that I explain and expand on the notes.
The notes and lectures together do cover all the topics needed to be able to pass the exam well. Some of the chapters do not have lectures yet – they are less important but more lectures will be added over the next few months. The one chapter of importance that does not have lectures is the chapter on mergers and acquisitions – however because there are no techniques involved that are not covered in other lectures and the problem is more one of approach, there are lectures working through past exam questions on this that discuss the approach as well as the technical content (they are linked from ‘Revision Kit Live’ on the main P4 page).
The examiner has said in the syllabus that every exam will have questions focussing on advanced investment appraisal and on risk management (foreign exchange risk and interest rate risk). Both these topics are certainly covered in more than enough depth for the exam (although for obvious reasons, the investment appraisal lectures do not repeat everything in the Paper F9 investment appraisal lectures).
You say you have been solving questions from the BPP book. If you are meaning the BPP Study Text, then far, far more important is that you use a Revision Kit. The questions in the Revision Kit are exam standard and unlike many in the Study Text require knowledge of many topics in the same question (as in the real exam – certainly question 1).
(Please don’t say ‘awaiting an early response’. Obviously we cannot sit at the computer 24 hours a day, but I always reply within 24 hours and usually much, much faster 🙂 )
Any problems – whether you watch the lectures or not – then do ask in this forum and I will help.
