Is it worth paying the extra for a distance learning package rather then just buying the text books, has anyone else done both and which is the package really worth the extra money.
thanksJuly 30, 2010 at 5:27 am #65145Hey Tracy ,
i’ve not taken F8 yet , but the exprerience of previous papers showed that distance learning package really isn’t as great as it’s supposed to be. And you need to understand why would you choose distance learning?
I purchased it because i liked the idea that tutors are always at hand …
well, yea ..at hand ..but it takes about 2-3 days for them to reply .. Moreover
for Kaplan issues there is a site called Kaplan Interact where you can ask questions related to the paper you are studying ..
I am not sure about BPP though …but to my opinion you will receive a quicker and better help in open tuition ..really. I don’t know what’s wrong with those publishers, but they reply you really slowly …
However, maybe it was just my bad experience and other students find distance learning package quite useful.Good luck,

If you can easily afford it then you should go for it.
In online classes and lectures you might learn something which you may not get it through books.
In some premium packages they will offer live classes as well as mock tests and other tips.August 1, 2010 at 5:03 pm #65147I like the idea of the online packages with classroom teaching but i can not afford the £500+ per paper, especially with the exams fees on top
