    Good Afternoon,

I am taking P7 exam in June. Are there any recommended technical articles you can lead me to? If so, are there any certain ones I should look out for (e.g. Author) ?

    Many thanks

    No author particularly

However, what is it, do you think, prompts an author to write a technical article for a students’ magazine?

    Here are three suggestions:

    1) the examiner herself has written one because she knows what topics she is going to ask in the next 3 or 4 exams (yes – she plans that far ahead)

    2) she may have asked one of her marking team to write an article on a particular topic … because she knows what topics she is going to ask in the next 3 or 4 exams

    3) someone has decided to write an article to get their name in print (and to get the name of their employer tuition provider in print also). That article will most probably be submitted by the magazine to the examiner for approval and could well be the basis for a question to be included in an exam in the near future

Now, with all those three suggestions, the examiner has a direct involvement and that leads me to think that the topics covered in those articles could very well be likely candidates for inclusion within a P7 exam

My suggestion to students (for many years) has traditionally been to read the last 10 technical articles and I see no reason to change that advice now

    OK?
