The latest update on ACCA global is about the changes in ACCA professional papers, exam codes. How does this change affect on us?
The change in exam codes doesn’t really affect anything, it’s just a name change. Exams will no longer have an F code or a P code. Personally as I am near the end of my ACCA journey I will continue to refer to them by their ‘old’ codes, but you will need to know the ‘new’ code for the purposes of booking exams etc (e.g. P4 becomes AFM).
The 3 things that do make a difference are:
– The replacement of P1 and P3 with a new 4 hour case study exam Strategic Business Leader
– The replacement of P2 with a new exam Strategic Business Reporting (same knowledge, different question style)
– The removal of optional questions from Option papers (P4-P7): all Option papers will have one 50 mark question and two 25-mark questions, all compulsoryAll of the changes take place from the September 2018 session onwards.
