Is it enough to read through the F7 notes and lectures on Open Tuition alone to pass this exam. Anyone done this before?

Are these lectures up to date because i noticed some lectures are from 2014. Can i still use for 2018 June??

    F7 advice:

“Read the course notes and work through the examples

Listen to the lectures and follow my workings

Work through the mini-exercises at the end of the course notes

Watch me work solutions to past exam questions – you’ll find those in the “Revision Lectures” on the F7 home page (towards the bottom of that page)

Get hold of a revision kit and start practicing the mcqs and mtqs” – Mike Little

Some of the lectures are no longer applicable, such as the lectures for IAS 18, IAS 17, IAS 11.

Use the current OT course notes, and when you find that you need a lecture for a chapter, that is not in the F7 lectures, then go on the CIMA tab here on OT and look into F1 and F2.

There should be a lecture on IFRS 16 in the P2 section.

Your best option is to find a syllabus on the Acca website for F7 as this will identify what you need to know as there have been changes from 2014 such as IAS 17 Revenue and contract costs now fall under IFRS 15. The syllabus will let you know the changes but the majority will be the same as they are mainly based on historical accounting techniques.

is the f7 harder then the f9. I’ve used open tuition for all my exams. i’ve got f6 and f7 left, am hoping i can do f7 in june and f6 in sept.

    ACCA website says for F7

IFRS 16 and IFRS 15 would be applicable where as the lectures dont include them. Still old lectures are there like IAS 17 and IAS18 and AS 11.

Hello, please advise, which publisher is better for F7 since you say it is not enough to study opentuition alone?
