Great exam, finished with 1 hour to spare, no surprises everything was asked as expected.
March 5, 2018 at 5:39 pm #440414Please share answers for Q. 6-15 (MCQs)
March 5, 2018 at 6:24 pm #440432how would anyone remember?
March 5, 2018 at 6:33 pm #440434What did you guys put down for the question which was asking about the revenue being overstated? We had the 15% discount, 10% discount and 50% discount!?
That question simply stomped me, guessed and chose 50% but feel that it is wrong.
March 5, 2018 at 6:43 pm #440438I marked 15% & 50%. Not sure if that’s correct
March 5, 2018 at 6:45 pm #440439This particular question felt like it was a seeded question
March 5, 2018 at 6:53 pm #440440What about that question where the client threatens to give the tender to another firm in case the audit is not efficient?

I took CBE and it was first time for skills level. Finished with about 30 minutes to spare, however with one control recommendation not provided and test not performed, but identified (i hope correctly). 🙂 This was due to time management as this question took kinda much time in the beginning so skipped to next. What took me most time during revision is correcting typing mistakes. I would not expect that i would spent 25 minutes or so to correct mistakes of typing. The keyboard was very hard to get used to. Just inconvenient for me. The backspace key was small, like all other keys, so everytime you press it you press 9 or whatever is close. And other keys were also too small or to close to each other for me, so kinda hard typing. In the beginning when trying to correct on the go i understood it will take too long so continued with mistakes. While correcting typos finished that control. What i haven’t done though is one risk from 7, but i knew what to include but did not even identified it in the answer (time pressure – detection risk was on my aim). Just left the blank space, maybe stroke through in the question. Overall the exam was very nice, it was so clear, like not before, (even funny sometimes, when customer was changing design too often and client could not keep up with pace and received a claim as a result for faulty products 🙂 ) perhaps because i made and used my own plan while studying from self study guide and practiced more questions also. It was like a stage, while preparing for it was like training in the gym and kinda boring sometimes, especially practising past cbe or free cbe mocks. What also contributed is morning time, time when you feel more energized and clear.

I didn’t get any questions you guys are talking about! I found the multiple choice quite tricky but hopefully have got enough from the other sections
March 5, 2018 at 10:04 pm #440493Me and my friend sat the same exam in the morning but she had different questions…. anyone else find this?
March 5, 2018 at 10:32 pm #440497This was my first time sitting a CBE exam and it was a disaster..so different to the written exam and my computer froze during the exam and I had to me moved into another room..did not help at all and wish they had kept the written exam.MCQ’s I thought were a bit hard especially where you had to choose more than one answer..:-(

I noticed on neighbor screen question about audit strategy, but haven’t got it myself. And it was just a second or less, but strategy was clear and it was related with plan. 🙂

yes, 5 elements of internal control system. It was the first question in section B and comprised a part of a big controls question. Relating to procedures there were different sections. What I remember is receivables with a non responding client or the balance in dispute, (a first question on procedures most likely) and another question based on management refusing to include provision or disclosure for legal claim or other issue and a question about revenue procedures (it took me about 5 minutes now to recall that revenue procedures question) and other questions, but they were all quite logical and interesting.
