Hi, which one is the best question to tackle first in the exam? The long question 1 or the easiest of the rest.
I think the long question 1.
It usually has a lot of numbers, but usually not ‘learning’ numbers (e.g. often preparing a budget profit statement), and also most (if not all) of the writing parts are more using business sense rather then learning.
And of course, if you can do reasonably well on this one it is a good start to getting the 50% pass mark.David Law from LSBF said that we should do Question 1 in the end. I swear that is the worst approach.
Question 1 should be done first under all circumstance If your really wanna bag near 50 marks first in your exams.

The reason David Law suggested doing Qu 1 last was because it can be very time consuming when the other questions can easily be handled by you. So why not handle the others and spend the rest of the time on Qu 1?
Normally i will look at Qu 1 and estimate the time before deciding to do it first or last.
If the sub questions under Qu 1 are easy then I will handle Qu 1 else, I will go and get some good marks from the other question.

You should work out the time for each question (at 1.8 minutes per mark) and stick to the time. If you have time left at the end of the exam then you can go back to those questions that you have not finished.
It is better to have in 4 questions part finished then to miss one question completely.
I still suggest that it is best to attempt the compulsory questions first – provided that you allocate your time.- Topics: 0
