I attempted f8 in dec 2008 and flunked. Now after a long year of work, I’ve decided to resit the exam. As a full-time employee i didn’t have time to attend any classes and now have to rely solely on the book. I’d really appreciate it if anybody could tell me if the 2008 book is still relevant or if there have been any changes.

I think you can still use the book as the concept wouldn’t alter much.
But do not use the book as the only source, look around the website and download the notes. cast off each syllabus publised by ACCA, make sure you get your head around every single sullabus.
I think it will be too late to get another book anyway by now.
    Good Luck!

I called BPP and they said that book is no longer valid. However, i’m not sure to what extent, apparently they’ve introduced the clarity versions of the ISA’s, so they become examinable.

I’ve noticed there are some slides on clarity in the F8 section of the website.

Some advice from the Mods here would be nice?:)

    Thanks in advance.
