WO: Susan Boyle has a sweet voice but she never has chance to be hired as singer by any music producers because of her age and appearance (weaknesses). However, she caught the opportunity of a talent contest in UK and make her accepted by the public (not care about her appearance), bypassing the music producers (care about her appearance). Actually, Web 2.0 creates a lot of such opportunities.
ST: Have you remembered the risk management strategy (the TARA model)? Transfer (through outsourcing or insurance), avoid (disinvesting itself is a strategy), reduce (through joint venture) a threat, or a combination of them.

Boyle’s weakness ( her age and appearance) made her performance unique and gave her an additional edge to influence the judges in her favour – WOHowever I think Boyle also grasped the opportunity of a talent contes in UK
to exploit her strength ( her voice) – SO strategy. - AuthorPosts
